Massive fire breaks out in Miami, east of Valley

MIAMI, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -

A huge fire started at two abandoned buildings in downtown Miami on Tuesday night.

According to Globe Fire Department Chief Gary Robinson, the buildings went up in flames around 7 p.m.

Flames were seen shooting up into the area and smoke could be seen for miles.

It took about 25 firefighters to fight the blaze.

Robinson said there were no injuries to firefighters.

As of 9 p.m. Tuesday, there were still crews on scene putting out hot spots.

It's unclear what sparked the flames.

Globe and Miami are right next to each other.

Miami is about 80 miles east of Phoenix.
