SCOTTSDALE (3TV/CBS 5) - As we age, let's face it, we can get some sagging.
It's natural but there are a lot of treatments to help fight nature.
Many people turn to Botox, fillers and lasers. Face-lifts are often considered a more extreme step.
Now somewhere in the middle is what's called the Silhouette Instalift.
Dr. Bryan Gawley is a plastic surgeon who offers the nonsurgical Instalift at MD Skin Lounge in Scottsdale.
The appeal is a smaller, natural-looking lift done with sutures instead of a scalpel. There is no cutting.
Gawley allowed us to observe the procedure in which needles are used to place a series of sutures across the jowl lines mid-cheek and cheekbone.
In addition to a subtle instant lift, the sutures are made of a dissolvable material that builds collagen over time.
The cost for the procedure is $3,000.
Gawley said the results can last for years.
