TEMPE, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -

The Super Bowl is known for its commercials and this year Arizona State University got in on the action.

The nation's largest university ran an ad on the local Phoenix FOX station about finding a solution to give people clean drinking water.

You can watch an extended version of the commercial here.

Some have wondered how much the local commercial cost the university. A nationwide commercial would have cost $5,000,000.

The Alumni Association emailed its members about the commercial.

The commercial was about how ASU students are fighting the clean water crisis. You read more about it here.
