Thieves make off with unusual haul after breaking into a taxidermy shop

PRESCOTT, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -

A stuffed antelope, deer and bull elk were among the items taken during a break-in at a taxidermy shop in Prescott.

Prescott police say the burglary happened sometime in the past few days.

One the items stolen was a large, mounted antelope buck. measuring more than 7 feet in length.  Due to its size, the animal is said to be very rare and valuable.

Other items taken include a Texas whitetail deer and bull elk mounts.

Various tools related to the taxidermy trade were also stolen.

Police are asking the public for help solving this crime.
