Suspect faces murder charges in connection with missing person case

PINAL COUNTY, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -

The Pinal County Sheriff's Office say a man has been arrested in connection with a missing person case.

William Daniel Randolph, 26, was taken into custody in Casa Grande in connection with the disappearance of Cody Robert Virgin, 25.

Virgin's family members last heard from him on January 30.

His vehicle, a red 2013 Dodge Dart, was found abandoned in the desert area south of Arizona City. 

Virgin had not shown up for work nor had he contacted his employer.  

Following an investigation, Randolph was arrested in connection with Virgin's disappearance on February 1.

He was booked into the Pinal County Jail on charges of First Degree Murder, Concealment of a Human Body and Hindering an Investigation. 

Detectives are following up on additional leads and the investigation is ongoing, according to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.
