(3 ON YOUR SIDE) -

A Sun City woman hired a repairman to fix her broken dishwasher.

But when she gave him $200 to purchase a part, she said the repairman left without doing anything.

His name is Frank Fritz and 3 On Your Side recently caught up with the repairman

“Hey Frank," Gary Harper said.

"How are you doing?" replied Fritz.

"I'm doing great, how are you?" Harper asked.

"Not bad," Fritz said.

"I'm Gary Harper with Channel 3," Harper said.

"How can I help you?" Fritz said.

3 On Your Side wanted to know why he took the cash from Elizabeth Hendricks, and vanished with her money.

"I just feel like he thought I was an older lady and he thought he would rip me off and leave," Hendricks said.

Hendricks says because of Fritz, she's out $200 and she's left with a broken dishwasher that she paid Fritz to repair.

Hendricks' son, Lloyd Church, says he found Fritz advertising on Craigslist and called him up to fix his mom's dishwasher.

After giving Fritz a check for $200 to go pick up a part, Church says the repairman disappeared with the money and won't return phone calls.

"I don't know where this guy is,” Church said. “If I could find him, I would."

3 On Your Side is familiar with Fritz because we profiled him back in 2013 for identical complaints. When we finally caught up with him back then, he didn't have much to say. In fact, he ran into his house when we tried to speak with him.

Well, he may not have talked back then, but he’s talking now when 3 On Your Side confronted him again.

“You and I talked a couple of years ago about taking money from people for parts and then you don't show back up,” Harper said.

“That's not true," Fritz said.

“Yes, it is true. How about a woman by the name of Elizabeth Hendricks?" Harper asked.

"Who's that?" Fritz said.

“Well, you should know because you cashed her check," Harper said.

Fritz eventually remembers Hendricks and Church and then claims that he intended to return their money, even though it's been more than a month.

"Here's the deal. That's his mom and she's a really nice lady and they think you skipped out with their money and that's kind of what it looks like," Harper said.

“Well, that's not what happened though," Fritz said.

To resolve the issue, Fritz apologized and volunteered right there to refund half of the money, $100. He then asked Harper to return it back to Hendricks. Fritz didn’t want to give all $200 because he claimed he should be paid for the initial service call to Hendrick’s house.

“I normally don't take money from people, but in this case I kind of feel like I should because I have a feeling you won't be calling Ms. Hendricks at all," Harper said.

"No, that's not true," Fritz said.

And with that, Fritz counted out $100.

“Here's 20, 40, 60, 80, $100,” Fritz said.

“Okay, a hundred bucks and you say you don't want to return the rest because of the labor you put into her job,” Harper said.

“Exactly,” Fritz said.

“All right,” Harper said.

And with that money, 3 On Your Side headed over to Hendricks who says, she feels fortunate to get anything back at this point.

“Without you guys, I wouldn't have gotten a penny,” she said. “So, $100 beats a penny any day. I think you guys are great."
