PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -

The tax man is making his rounds and he wants to know how much vehicle license tax you paid in 2016.

What? You don’t know off the top your head?

It’s a good thing ServiceArizona is once again offering its free Vehicle Fee Recap service.

The information you need is just a couple of clicks away on ServiceArizona.com. To start, click the Vehicle Fee Recap in the Other Services box on the ServiceArizona.com main page.

You’ll need to enter your driver license number, your full name and your birthdate. You also have to check a box certifying that you're you.

Once you click "Continue," you'll know how much vehicle license tax you paid and how much you can include in the “personal property taxes” section of your federal Schedule A. It takes less than a minute.

As with anything tax related, you should consult with a professional about the nitty gritty details.

You can save and print your Vehicle Fee Recap for free, which is a good idea because the IRS suggests you keep tax documents in some easily accessible form for three years, longer if you take a bad debt deduction or a claim a loss from worthless securities.

ServiceArizona’s Vehicle Fee Recap tool is available on both desktop computers and mobile devices.

To get your Vehicle Fee Recap, go to ServiceArizona.com.
