PRESCOTT VALLEY (3TV/CBS 5) -

Authorities have arrested a suspect accused of robbing an 88-year-old man last week in Prescott Valley.

Based on a tip received Tuesday afternoon, Taylor Williams was arrested inside a fast-food restaurant, according to the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office.

Williams had previously been identified as the suspect in the Jan. 18 robbery, which began at a Circle K on Highway 69.

Sheriff's officials said the suspect asked the victim for gas money. The man gave him $10 from his wallet, which also contained several hundred dollars in cash that was clearly visible.

The suspect then asked for more money so he could celebrate his child's birthday. The victim declined and began pushing his walker west on Copper Hill Drive.

A short time later, the suspect caught the victim from behind, put him in a chokehold and knocked him to the ground before taking his wallet, according to sheriff's officials.

Williams was booked at the Camp Verde Detention Center for robbery and a probation violation. He remains in custody on a $35,000 bond.
