ANTHEM, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -

The principal of Boulder Creek High School has apologized for a Donald Trump skit that upset some parents.

In a letter sent on Sunday afternoon, Lauren Sheahan said she is "deeply sorry to anyone who was offended."

The skit, which was originally performed live for school staff earlier this week, was recorded, and that video was sent in an email to all employees on Friday.

In it, Sheahan portrays Kellyanne Conway, President Trump's campaign manager, and another staff member acts as Donald Trump, saying things like, "keep those moron parents and weak and loser students out."

In Sheahan's letter, she said that the "intent was to share it only with the staff and connect the satirical skit to our work ahead of the rest of the school year." She also said that the skit shouldn't viewed as a political statement.

"I don't think it's funny at all. Actually, I'm completely offended by it," said Dawn Rundle, a parent of a girl who attends Boulder Creek High.
