CHANDLER, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -

The second annual "All In" 5K run in Chandler benefiting Chandler Schools drew lots of proud runners to Perry High School Sunday morning.

"This is a way for all of our schools to come together in unity", said Terry Locke, communications director for Chandler Unified School District

Hundreds of students from elementary all the way up to high school participated in the event that hopes to raise funds for PTOs and booster clubs in the district.

"Not only is it raising money for Chandler schools, it is also promoting running and that's what I do in my running club; just making sure that you are being active," said Haley Elementary PE teacher Barbara Burton.

Tyara Roberts from Basha High School's cross country team was excited to share that she ran her first 5K ever.

"This is like a great time. I'd like to do this when I'm older, so it's good to stay fit when you are young," said Roberts.

Proud parents of Bella Pistilli said their daughter's ability to run is a blessing and that they encourage any type of race she can participate in to encourage the love of running.

"We lead a healthy life-style," said Tracy Pistilli. "Bella has won other races since Kindergarten," she adds.

Bella is now a third-grader at Fulton Elementary and won first place in her category.

"I would like to be in the Olympics," says Bella with a smile on her face.

The race started at 9 a.m. at Perry High School off of Queen Creek and Val Vista roads.
