PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -

The Arizona Department of Transportation has expanded its network to give you a better look at highways and weather conditions through Arizona.

Just as winter weather moves through the state this weekend, nine new cameras are online at AZ511.gov.

Five of those cameras are in Northern Arizona, along Interstate 40, State Route 89A and State Route 206.

The other new ADOT cameras are in the central and southern portion of the state along U.S. 60, Interstate 10 and State Route 90.

“Joining the many traffic and weather cameras available at az511.gov, these views help ADOT and commuters using their desktop computers and laptops get real-time information on road conditions,” Dave Woodfill and Garin Groff wrote on AZDOT.gov. “And let’s face it – it’s just fun to check out those Arizona sunrises and sunsets.”

They certainly are not wrong about that.

To see all of the available ADOT cameras, got to AZ511.gov. Click the cameras button by the legend on the Statewide Traffic Map to see all of the camera locations.
