Speed was likely a factor in a Yavapai County rollover crash Wednesday night, Yavapai County sheriff’s deputies said.
The victims were identified as James Wayne Collins, 44, of Dewey and Rhonda Kay Hudson, 46, of Prescott Valley.
Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the scene around 9:45 p.m. and emergency medical personnel determined the man and woman had already died.
It's still unclear who was driving the car.
Authorities say the vehicle left the roadway and struck some rocks and that apparently caused the vehicle to roll.
It crashed through a fence before coming to rest on its roof.
Collins and Hudson weren't wearing seat belts and were ejected from the vehicle.
Authorities say toxicology test results are pending.
