Peoria man killed in motorcycle crash; passenger in ICU
GLENDALE, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -
Glendale police have identified the man killed in motorcycle crash Friday night.
The victim is Daniel Carr, 45, of Peoria, according to police.
The crash happened Friday around 8 p.m. near 53rd Avenue and Cactus.
Officials said Carr and a woman, whose name was not provided, were traveling on a motorcycle and had struck a parked vehicle.
"Glendale Police Vehicular Crimes detectives determined the motorcycle was traveling westbound and failed to negotiate a right curve between Windrose Drive and Aster Drive," Glendale Police Sgt. Scott Waite said.
The fire department had to lift the parked vehicle to pull the 46-year-old female from the wreckage.
The woman was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. She remains in the intensive case unit.
It is unknown if there was any impairment.
Glendale police say neither victim was wearing a helmet.
