Detectives released 911 calls made in connection to three shootings linked to the Serial Street Shooter.

The incidents were at 5500 W. Turney Ave., 6700 W. Flower St. and 6500 W. Coronado Rd.

In one of the 911 calls for the shooting near 5500 W. Turney Ave., it was the sister-in-law of the victim who called police. Diego Verdugo-Sanchez was standing outside a home on April 1 when somebody fired a gun from inside a passing car. The caller said Verdugo-Sanchez was bleeding on the floor inside the house. He later died. His death was the first connected to the serial shooter.

Callers reporting the shooting near 6500 W. Coronado Rd. heard anywhere from four to nine shots. Manuel Garcia was shot and killed while sitting in his car waiting for his girlfriend on June 10. Police said a driver approached Garcia, had a brief conversation with the occupant(s) before he was shot.

Family members of Horacio De Jesus Pena called 911 after he was shot near 6700 W. Flower St. on June 3. He was found lying in the street. One 911 caller said he was breathing but a couple of minutes in, he stopped breathing. You can hear screams in the background.
