Fighting the holiday bulge with more fat
The Ketogenic Diet is a new diet trend sweeping the country. The diet calls for eating more fat, and lower carbs. It's similar to Atkins, but we learn the differences, how it works, and the do's and don'ts to following this new diet.
A new, trendy diet that is growing in popularity across the Phoenix area is actually combatting the bulge with, more fat!? Yes, that's right! The Ketogenic Diet a low-carb, high-fat diet that has been scientifically proven to help with diabetes, cancer, epilepsy and Alzheimer’s lowers blood sugar and insulin levels by reducing overall carbohydrate consumption levels to about 5 percent of your daily calories.
It's similar to the Atkins diet, but Atkins is actually a high fat, high protein, low carb diet while Ketogenic dieting is high fat, moderate protein and very low carbs. That may seem like a simple differentiation. Additionally, by achieving a state of ketosis, your body instead burns stored fat as fuel, rather than consumed carbohydrates.

2. Practice active listening (Do NOT engage but just listen and nod)
3. Ask, don't attack (Be curious and do NOT judge their stance or view).
