DICK’S Sporting Goods Now Hiring Sports and Outdoor Enthusiasts in Phoenix
DICK’S Sporting Goods (NYSE: DKS), the largest U.S.-based, full-line omni-channel sporting goods retailer, has announced it is now hiring for seasonal associate positions in Phoenix.
DICK’S is looking for exceptional applicants, passionate about sports or the outdoors, to join the team at the following locations: Deer Valley, Gilbert, Glendale, Tempe and Tucson.

National Junior Golf Championship Comes to The Valley
The country's best junior golfers are competing for the PGA title this weekend at the Grayhawk Golf Club. Out of 36,000 players, only 80 qualified for this championship tournament. The game of golf has seen a surge in popularity in recent years and this weekend's showing represents that growth.

Goodguys 19th Southwest Nationals
Over 3,000 hot rods, customs, classics, muscle cars and truck trucks will take over the scenic acreage of WestWorld this Friday through Sunday, November 18-20 for the 19th Southwest Nationals. This event, the season finale for the 2016 series, offers acres of vintage vehicles through 1972 on display, plus commercial and vendor exhibits, swap meet, model car show, cars for sale corral, awards ceremony on Sunday and more.
Event hours are Friday and Saturday 8am to 5pm and Sunday 8am to 3pm. General admission is $20, and kids 7-12 $6. Kids 6 and under are FREE. There is a $5 spectator parking fee charged by WestWorld. Military receive a $5 off general admission discount with their military ID card. Celebrate Thanksgiving at The Wigwam in Litchfield Park with a cooking demo on how to make a delicious holiday dish.
The Wigwam, an iconic Arizona landmark and AAA Four-Diamond resort, is delighted to offer two holiday feasts for a memorable Thanksgiving at an authentic Southwestern getaway situated on an estate-like setting.
For Thanksgiving Day, The Wigwam will host a delectable buffet from noon to 4 p.m. on Nov. 24 in the resort's ballroom. The buffet will cost $48 per adult and $20 per child ages 3-12. Children 2 and under will be complimentary.
The Thanksgiving Day buffet will celebrate fresh, local ingredients with farmer's market starters like warm butternut pear bisque and a crisp grapefruit salad, hand-carved roasted turkey and salt broiled New York strip, in addition to holiday dessert favorites such as candied sweet potatoes and a classic dessert display. With live piano entertainment to enhance the experience, The Wigwam ballroom is a refined and grand setting for families to gather, feast and enjoy being with one another.

TGIF-Food Truck Friday at Lake Pleasant
The third Friday of the month at Pleasant Harbor on Lake Pleasant is Food Truck Fridays (TGIF-TF) (Thank God It's Food Truck Fridays). The next two events are being held on November 18 and December 16, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. 9:00 p.m. In addition to more than a dozen food trucks, there are many fun activities for all ages as well as picturesque views from the shores of Lake Pleasant.
Participating food trucks include: 2 Fat Guys Grilled Cheese, Queso Good, Press Italian Street Food, Fantasy Funnel Cakes, Flyin' Hawaiian, Fireside Pizza, Green Chili Grill, Tots-n-Tots of Burgers, K Star BBQ, American Poutine, Satay Hut, Mamma Toledo's Pie Truck, Frosted Frenzy Cupcakes, Jamburritos and several more. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy the evening. There is a $6.00 lake gate fee per vehicle.
