Half Moon Windy City Sports Grill in Phoenix is hoping to turn around decades of bad luck and reverse the curse of the billy goat that originated in 1945.

Wrigley Field for Phoenix-based Cubs fans. Since the Cubs have been in the playoffs this season, the restaurant/bar has been packed to the gills with standing room only during each game.

And now with the team's historic win clinching the first National League pennant since 1945 with that epic double play, Half Moon is hoping to turn around decades of bad luck and reverse the curse of the billy goat that took place back in 1945 the last time they were in the World Series by roasting a full-fledged goat outside in front of the restaurant to kick off the first game of this epic series.

Half Moon will be featuring Goat Tacos during the 2016 World Series games for only $2.50, created by Executive Chef Marlene Portillo. Half Moon features more Chicago-based food items than any other restaurant in the Valley. Fans can enjoy the tastes of old Chicago with favorites, prepared by Executive Chef Marlene Portillo, like real Vienna beef Chicago dogs with traditional toppings and poppy seed buns flown in from S. Rosen's; Italian beef sandwiches on hoagies from Alpha Baking Company in Chicago; and Eli's Cheesecake, also "imported" from Chicagoland. Plus, they can wet their whistle the Midwestern way with $2 Old Style. Half Moon's regularly occurring Happy Hour and game day specials are also available.

Half Moon Sports Grill and Half Moon Windy City Sports Grill are Game Day Central for any sports fans. They're chock full of HD TVs, state of the art audiovisual system and games on TV with sound every Sunday.

Hours: 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Sunday; kitchen open until midnight daily

October 26 is National Chicken Fried Steak Day, but do you know what chicken fried steak actually is?

Perhaps the most confusing cross-meat concoction since the turducken, chicken fried steak is actually steak. Cube steak, that is. The thinly-pounded piece of meat has been fooling Americans into thinking it's chicken since its official recipe book introduction in 1914. The truth is that it's simply fried in the same fashion as fried chicken. Who knew?!

At Twin Peaks, you won't have to pick sides in the great steak debate. Celebrate National Chicken Fried Steak Day your way with your choice of chicken fried chicken or chicken fried steak at the restaurant's two Valley locations 8787 E. Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd. in Scottsdale and 2135 E. Camelback Rd. in Phoenix. Topped with a kickin' jalapeño cream gravy, this ain't your momma's standard schnitzel.
