Arizona Restaurant Week begins today!
Today kicks off Arizona Restaurant Week, where local participating restaurants encourage diners to get outside their own neighborhoods and try something new. This statewide affair offers foodies a wealth of dining opportunities...from sizzling Southwestern and soothing comfort foods to five-star dining and international fare. This year, Posh is participating, known for its "improvisational cuisine," we check out what they'll offer. It's all on the table during Arizona Restaurant Week. So prepare your taste buds and dig in!

Junk in the Trunk begins tonight & offers scholarship
Junk in the Trunk begins tonight at Westworld, where you can create the perfect vintage styled room, or party. The gals who started this vintage market are celebrating their 5th anniversary. Also, a portion of proceeds from ticket sales to Friday night's event will go to a scholarship fund for a young Phoenix woman aiming to be the first college graduate in her family.
Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market is held at West World, 16601 North Pima Road in Scottsdale. The Friday night shopping VIP event will be on September 16, 2016 from 5:00-9:00pm. Tickets at the door Friday night are $65.00, and include early entry on Saturday, general admission all weekend, reusable bag, drink ticket, and first dibs on the best junk! General admission is Saturday and Sunday, September 17th & 18th, 2016, from 9:00am to 4:00pm, tickets are $8.00 and only available at the door. Kids 12 and under are free. Members of the U.S. military, who present ID, will get $1.00 off. Those wearing official Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market apparel will get $1.00 off general admission. West World charges $5.00 per car for parking.
A portion of ticket sales from the Friday night shopping VIP event will be donated directly to The Shine Project to benefit Jasmine Nolan.
The non-profit The Shine Project employs inner city Phoenix youth to help make fashion accessories and fund college scholarships. Ashley LeMieux founded the organization after serving as an aid in an inner-city high school and noticing the need for better access to higher education.

Top Off Road Racers take the field at Wild Horse Pass
The Lucas Oil Off Road 911 Memorial Race begins today, Sept 16th and 17th. All veterans, police, firefighters and civil service get in FREE. Free Monster Truck Rides with donation. Fireworks Display at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park. Proceeds benefit the Arizona Fallen Firefighters, and see some of the top Off Road racers in the country.
Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series general admission tickets for the Wild Horse Pass event are $25 per day or $50 for the weekend, if purchased on-line at www.lucasoiloffroad.com before October 20th or $30 per day and $60 for the weekend, if purchased at the track.

Oktoberfest begins this weekend at the Brat Haus
Expect great food, good friends and fall festivities Saturday, Sept 17th as the Brat Haus celebrates Oktoberfest. It's a celebration of Bavarian culture that'll feature a bounty of good time.
