BUCKEYE, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -

The Buckeye Police Department has established a new public phone number and email address for people who might have tips about a 10-year-old boy who has been missing for more than a week.

"This line is for tips only," Sgt. Jason Weeks said. "We are asking the public not to call asking for updates to the case as this is just a tip line."

Jesse Wilson was last seen by his mom the night of Sunday, July 17. Crystal Wilson called police early Monday morning to report him missing. Police and volunteers have been looking for the boy ever since.

Police are sorting through about 100 tips that have come in from across the country. Many of those tips found their way to investigators through Facebook. At this point, police are asking people to use the newly created tip line (623-349-6411) and email address (bpdtips@buckeyeaz.gov) to submit leads so that they do not get lost online.

It's believed that Jesse slipped out of the house sometime the night Sunday, July 17. While this is not the first time Jesse has sneaked out, his family said he has never stayed away for an extended period of time.

Last week, Wilson made a tearful appeal for Jesse to come home.

"This is your mommy," she said. "No one is mad at you."

The next day, the Buckeye Police Department released a recording of the phone call Wilson made to the department's non-emergency line to report her little boy missing.

Jesse is described as black, 4 feet tall, 60 pounds and was last seen wearing a red shirt, shorts, black socks and black shoes.
