JCC New Aquatic Center

Come celebrate the opening of the valley's premier aquatics center, complete with two sparkling pools, 2,500-square-foot splash pad and 26-foot climbing tower.

Their competition-size pool has 11 lanes for lap swimming and features a state-of-the-art filtration system that's easy on you and your suit. It is the perfect setting for our quality swim programs including swim academy, swim team and Masters. With temperatures between 82 and 84 degrees, our pool is open year-round.
Heated a bit warmer, our 4.5-foot-deep activity pool is perfect for aqua fitness classes, water polo, volleyball or for those who just want to lounge.

The 2,500-square-foot splash pad has fun features for toddlers to teens with fountains, walk-through water hoops, water cannons and a 30-gallon splash tower. A rubberized surface keeps play fun cool and safe.

Sweet, Sour, Spicy + More: Here's a Sneak Peek at What's In Store for Next Weekend's Real, Wild & Woody Beer Festival

Guests won't find watered-down beer varieties or conventional flavor combinations at this brew festival - rather, Real, Wild & Woody, which is set for 2 pm - 6 pm Saturday, July 23, is designed to expose craft beer connoisseurs to unique, new and never-before-sipped brews in the air-conditioned comfort of the Phoenix Convention Center.

Think Dark Sky Brewing Co.'s Saison de Waffles, a Belgian Saison fermented in a chardonnay bottle, or Mudshark Brewery's Barrel-Aged Mole Stout, made with vanilla bean, ancho chile, coffee beans and cocoa nibs. Peoria Artisan Brewery will be on hand offering up samples of its Hunnyhal pepper beer made with fresh jalapenos and Arizona honey, while 8-Bit Brewery will bring Starpower, a white mage wit-infused with fresh Meyer lemons, starfruit and prickly pear to the table. Thirsty for more? Dubina Brewing Company has plans to serve up a Pomegranate Sour, among other unique brews, and THAT Brewing Company is set to come bearing a Bourbon Maple Bacon Cask Ale for consumption, among other offerings. From the smoky and spicy to the salty and sweet, Real, Wild & Woody's beer lineup leaves little to be desired.

While flavor combos and bold brew methods are a big part of the festival, there will also be plenty of traditional varieties on tap for those looking to expand their beer-drinking palates at a slower pace.

While beer takes center stage at the festival, specialty foods aren't far behind. The Perch is set to satisfy the sweet tooth with beer-infused ice cream, while Pig & Pickle will provide varieties of house-made tater tots to help soak up all those beer samples. From Brat Haus' gourmet German pretzel sticks and beer cheese to Mother Bunch's house-made Chicharrons, Real, Wild & Woody's beer and snack options are designed to satisfy even the most discerning drinker and diner.

Tickets are $57 ($25 for designated driver passes - limited quantity; no alcohol may be consumed with this pass) this includes small bites and brews. Tickets may be purchased at the Phoenix Convention Center Box Office or online at www.RealWildandWoody.com. This event is expected to sell out.
