Texas Toast (thick sliced white bread found in your bread aisle)
2 Cups Chocolate Milk
6 Eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
2 Cups Graham Cracker Crumbs
1/3 Cup Sugar
Unsalted Butter
Maple Syrup

1)    First combine your milk, eggs & vanilla extract in a bowl then whisk them together well.  Move into a small casserole dish and set aside.
2)    Mix your graham cracker crumbs & sugar together and put in a similar sized dish and set aside.
3)    Heat a large skillet over medium heat for about 5 minutes or use a griddle and set the temp to 350 degrees.  
4)    Once you're ready, melt 2 tablespoons of butter on the bottom of your pan or griddle and spread it around.  Grab one piece of bread at a time and do a quick dip on both sides of the bread then dip the wet bread on both sides in the graham cracker mix.  Put immediately onto the hot surface and repeat with other pieces.  Cook for about 2 minutes per side until golden brown then serve with maple syrup.  Keep adding butter as you add new slices to the pan.

This amount of milk mixture should make at least12 pieces.

Cook's Notes: It's important that when dipping the bread that you do it quickly.  Drop it in the milk mixture, flip it over and put in the graham cracker mix.  Otherwise they will be wet & soggy inside.  You can buy your own chocolate milk or make your own with whole milk and chocolate syrup.
