"What's Your Story: Discover The Man Behind Your Dad." Author- Mike Lindstrom

Just in time for Father's Day, Author & Life Coach Mike Lindstrom releases a new book fathers and sons should enjoy, called, "What's Your Story: Discover The Man Behind Your Dad." He'll have a book signing at Changing Hands Bookstore on Friday June 10th at 7pm. This is Mike's second book, co-authored with Vin Standiforth. "What's Your Story?" is a thought provoking journey a man can take alone or with his children. Not only is it an incredible way to tell someone you love them but also a family heirloom that can be enjoyed. "It has been a 7 year goal of mine to track down the author who first came out with a similar book in 1998. His name is Vincent Staniforth and I am proud to say he is now a friend and my co-author on this project," says Lindstrom. This book is for all fathers who want to share their life story, beliefs, and advice with their kids.  This book is also for anyone out there who still has their father alive.  The book is a series of questions to have father's answer so keep their "story" for future generations.

Carb for a Cause

Oregano's Pizza Bistro and its 14 locations in the Valley and Flagstaff are partnering for the second consecutive year on a charity food donation event with St. Mary's Food Bank this time on "Carbs For A Cause," an effort to donate more than 50,000 pasta meals to needy families in the Valley and Northern Arizona

The drive gives Oregano's guests three ways to "Use Your Noodle" to help hungry families in need of a hearty meal:

By buying a pasta dish at any Oregano's location between June 6th and June 10th. For every pasta dish sold between 6/6 and 6/10, Oregano's will donate three pasta meals to St. Mary's Food Bank.

By buying a special edition "Noodlist Colony: For every $20 t-shirt sold, Oregano's will donate five days of pasta dinners for a family of four to St. Mary's Food Bank.

By donating online at For each $5 donation, Oregano's will donate one week of pasta dinners for a family of four to St. Mary's Food Bank.

With food banks reliant on pasta as a staple for families in need, Oregano's founder and CEO Mark S. Russell saw "Carbs For A Cause" as a perfect match for the restaurants, their guests and Oregano's more than 1,100 employees. The goal of the drive is to donate at least 50,000 pasta meals to St. Mary's. Additionally, Oregano's two Tucson locations goal is to donate at least 10,000 pasta meals to the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.
"Pasta is huge for us and it's just as big for our partners at the food banks," said Russell. "At Oregano's, we've been feeding families heaping pasta dishes for more than two decades. We're putting our energy into Carbs For A Cause because we very much want to share the great feeling a pasta meal brings with the families who rely on St. Mary's Food Bank."
Founded in 1993, Oregano's has 13 Valley locations, one location in Flagstaff and two Tucson restaurants. Two new locations will open soon one in Surprise and one in Superstition Springs. Specializing in original Chicago-style thin crust, stuffed and pan pizzas, as well as abundant specialty salads and pastas, Oregano's menu continues to be inspired by recipes passed down from Russell's family.
