Police found the body of a Phoenix man shot dead in a roadway outside his home late Friday night.
The victim is identified as 32-year-old Horacio De Jesus Pena.
Paramedics from the Phoenix Fire Department pronounced him dead at around 10 p.m.
“The investigation indicates Mr. Pena had just arrived home from work,” Phoenix Police Officer James Holmes said.
Witnesses in the area of 6700 W. Flower St. said they heard gunfire but didn’t see anyone shooting.
“One witness reported seeing a white Cadillac or Lincoln-type car in the road just prior to the shooting ,” Holmes added.
The vehicle fled the area west on Flower Street.
