Stacy Davis grew up in Phoenix. He did not grow up much of a Suns fan. That didn't stop the Betty Fairfax High School graduate from experiencing a thrill on Monday, trying out for his hometown team.
"I actually cheered for the Cavs," says the Laveen native.
Davis moved to the Valley from California when he was 10. He enrolled at Pepperdine when he was 16. At 6-6, Davis averaged 15 points and 9 rebounds as a senior for the Waves. If he were to join the Suns, Davis would join North High School alum Alan Williams as another hometown player on the Suns. Williams signed a multi year deal with the team in March.
