Reports: Hornacek Hired By Knicks

Former Suns Coach Jeff Hornacek has a new job.

According to multiple reports, Hornacek has been hired as Head Coach by the New York Knicks.  Hornacek played for the Suns and returned to coach the team for the past 2 1/2 seasons.  He lead a team that was expected to lose big within 1 game of the playoffs his first year on the job.  Things took a turn for the worse in his second year when he was forced to find minutes for three point guards, Eric Bledsoe, Isaiah Thomas and Goran Dragic.  This season started with Hornacek and troubled forward Markieff Morris saying all the right things.  The team lost 19 of 21 and 14 straight on the road.  Horacek was fired on February 2nd and replaced by Earl Watson.

The New York Knicks have yet to confirm the news, first reported by Bleacher Report.  Hornacek is one of four known candidates for the position.
