FLAGSTAFF, AZ (AP) -

A hearing is scheduled Tuesday for the man charged in the fatal shooting of a Northern Arizona University student last fall.

Steven Jones says he acted in self-defense when he shot Colin Brough on the Flagstaff campus on Oct. 9 killing him. Three others were wounded.

Prosecutors say Jones wasn't justified in using lethal force.

The hearing Tuesday afternoon in Coconino County Superior Court is billed as a case management conference. Court clerk Valerie Wyant says it will include talk regarding conditions of release for Jones.

Defense attorneys had asked Judge Dan Slayton in February to release Jones to the custody of his parents. Slayton denied the request but said he'd reconsider once he had more information on monitoring, access to weapons, potential searches of the Jones' home and counseling.
