MESA, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -

A new app called Minibar is an easy way to lift your spirits. With a click, a tap and a swipe, liquor, wine or beer goes from the store to your front door in less than an hour.

"[It's for] anyone who wants fast delivery of wine and spirits and doesn't have the time to go to the store," said Lara Crystal, co-founder of Minibar.

Crystal and Lindsey Andrews launched the app in New York, and then expanded to 20 cities. Phoenix is the latest.

"So you go to the app or the website, and enter your address, and you are routed to your local liquor store" Crystal explained.

"I get an order through email. We have a tablet by the register and the cashier gets it. They get the order ready, and my driver takes it to the address," Rod Aranki, owner of Liquor Wheel, said.

"The driver checks your ID to validate that you are over 21, and if not, then it's returned to the store with a restocking fee" Crystal said.

In Arizona, the driver also has the buyer fill out paperwork showing his or her name, address and driver's license number. The owner signs it, and the driver files the paperwork back at the store.

"I train my guys, if you go to a house and you see like a frat party, just turn around and leave," Aranki said. "We don't want any of that."

With everything going high-tech these days, liquor store owners think the Minibar app is the wave of the future.

"I expect it to continue, to keep growing," Aranki said. "I think it's a great idea."

Minibar is available for iOS and Android devices.
