Auctioneers From Across the Globe Converge on Phoenix for Advanced Auctioneer Academy

This week, a select group of auctioneers from across the world are in Phoenix to attend the Advanced Auctioneer Academy's three-day training course, learning first-hand from world renowned instructors in the auction and business industries. The course expands the auctioneers' skills and provides training on the bid chant, auction psychology, public speaking, stage presence, salesmanship, marketing, professionalism, image, goals and more.

American Auction Co. is headquartered in Phoenix and houses the only incubator for talent in the Southwest (the auctioneer academy) and utilizes real-life auctions to help them practice.

At the academy, participants learn how to become an auctioneer through hands-on learning for online and in-person auctions in a working auction house, taught by industry leaders. They learn how to smooth their chant, elevate salesmanship, improve public speaking, refine communication skills and learn the art of the interview. They also learn non-verbal skills that are highly desired by auction houses, including auction psychology, stage presence, salesmanship, marketing, professionalism and image.

Instructors include Ralph Wade who brings more than fifty years of experience to the Valley and three published trainings in bid calling. In addition, Jeff Stokes will be on site. He is the only person to have earned all three Auctioneer World Championships and will instruct auctioneers on how to increase the effectiveness of their auctions. These two men will be accompanied by industry leaders Paul Ramirez (bilingual), Deb Weidenhamer, Rick Yeatts and more.

The training will take place at the auction academy facility at 951 W. Watkins in Phoenix
