The GMAZ crew traveled to Anthem to experience the America's tallest fresh cut Christmas tree and the outlet shops at Anthem.

The Tallest Christmas Tree at Anthem
America's tallest fresh cut decorated Christmas tree stands at 115 feet. This tree was hand selected from the Shasta Trinity Forest at the California/Oregon border
The tree traveled nearly 750 miles on a 75-foot stretch flatbed trailer.
180 strands of LED lights stretching 3 miles will light up this tree
25,000 ornaments decorate this tree
The copper 3-foot star was handmade to represent the state of Arizona
The forest was replanted with saplings from this tree to replenish the area.
The actual lighting and ceremony takes place tomorrow (Saturday) at 7pm, and our masters of ceremony. is our very own Javier Soto!

The Daisy Mountain Railroad
The Daisy Mountain Railroad is a 24 inch gauge railroad located in the community park at Anthem, Arizona a planned community about 25 miles north of Phoenix. Originally opened during the community's grand opening in 2000, the railroad resumed operations in October of 2002 after a several month hiatus for reasons that vary depending on the source.
The beautiful landscaping is a highlight of this park railroad. Featured on the DMRR are a trestle across a small lake, a tunnel through a faux rock outcropping, lush green landscaping, several sparkling water falls and an eye-catching playground for young children.
Altogether the leisurely ride lasts about 10 minutes. The Candy Cane Express runs during the winter and Holiday hours. Come and enjoy festive lights and special treats and share in the beauty and joy of the Season!
