For a Phoenix couple, Lee and Diana Collins, Preschool Sports is much more than 'just a game'. Enhancing children's lives is their passion which they turned into a career through franchise ownership with Amazing Athletes.
Amazing Athletes is a year-round educational sports and fitness program that helps children ages 2-6 years old, of all abilities, achieve milestones of motor-development by teaching them the basic fundamentals and mechanics of 9 different ball sports. By using sports as a catalyst for learning, Amazing Athletes programs focus on building the pillars of early childhood development, working to improve children's hand-eye coordination, flexibility, cardiovascular health, muscle tone, balance, speed and agility, while also teaching children life skills -- such as teamwork, confidence, sportsmanship and cooperation. In addition to sports and motor-development, the students in Amazing Athletes are also exposed to basic nutrition through weekly "Power Food" lessons and basic muscle identification.
Today, Amazing Athletes of Arizona is teaching more than 600 children at 40 local facilities throughout the greater Phoenix area with that number growing each week.
If you are interested in learning more about Amazing Athletes or participating in the program, visit www.amazingathletes.com/phx or call (480) 540-7396.
