MESA, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -
The personal finance website Wallethub has ranked each state when it comes to people with weight issues.
This is in line with it being National Diabetes Awareness Month and the fact that more than two-thirds of adults across the country are either obese or overweight.
Analysts got the results by looking at everything from the percentage of adults and children who are overweight and obese, to the sugary-beverage consumption among adolescents, to the percentage of residents who are physically inactive.
They found Arizona came in at No. 16 in the country, with over 44 percent of the population having weight problems.
The states at the top of the list are Mississippi at over 51 percent, followed by Louisiana and West Virginia.
The states at the bottom of the list are Hawaii at over 35 percent, followed by Colorado and New Jersey.
