(3 ON YOUR SIDE) -

Sarah Trigg said she's getting nothing but lies from a company called Murray and Sons Construction and its owner, Paul La Chance.

"I haven't seen [anything]. I have seen nothing," she said.

In a recent 3 On Your Side report, we told you how Trigg hired La Chance to do a backyard makeover. She was quoted around $60,000 and gave La Chance $15,000 to get the project started. Trigg said that after doing nothing more than taking out some grass, Chance walked off the job and took all that money with him.

Since then, 3 On Your Side has been to La Chance's home several times, and after he found out we wanted to talk to him, he had his attorney contact us. In a letter, that attorney claimed La Chance was “working diligently” to resolve the matter.

Tired of waiting, Trigg filed a theft report with police, but La Chance remains a ghost.

"I talked to the police department today. I said, 'Have you heard [about] them doing anything towards paying me back?' And they said, 'Absolutely not,'" Trigg said.

Things don't look bright for La Chance either. Another woman told 3 On Your Side she was ripped by La Chance for $23,000. The IRS filed a lien against him for $600,000 in back taxes. The Arizona Registrar of Contractors suspended his license. His company has an "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau.

But what about the letter to 3 On Your Side from the attorney that says La Chance is working diligently to return money to Trigg? She said she hasn't seen anything.

"It's a joke, absolute joke," Trigg said of the letter.

Trigg said the ordeal is extremely upsetting and that she's fed up knowing La Chance has her $15,000.

"He's a con man, a scammer, a fast talker," she said.

Do you have a muscle cramp that’s putting a cramp in your day? Wouldn’t a massage feel great right about now? Some people are skipping traditional masseuses or massage equipment, saying all you need to ease your pain is right in your garage.
