Marana police search for suspect in credit card theft

The Marana Police Department is asking for the community’s help tracking down a credit card thief.

Police say the suspect stole a woman’s wallet from her purse and fraudulently used her credit cards. 

On October 11, 2015 at approximately 9:20 a.m., a male suspect stole a wallet from a female’s purse inside the Fry’s Store located at Ina and Thornydale.

The suspect then went across the street to Walgreens to purchase cigarettes and gift cards.  At approximately 9:35 a.m., the suspect again used the victim’s credit cards to purchase cigarettes from a Quick Trip store at Ina and Camino De La Tierra.

Marana police also want to remind the public to keep all valuables and purses in their direct control while shopping. 

Suspect Description: 

Hispanic Male

Late 40s to 50s

Dark/Grey Hair and Mustache

Thin Build

White shirt, blue jeans, white tennis shoes, NASCAR baseball hat

Suspect Vehicle:

Approx. 1987 Toyota Tercel Station Wagon, 4 door

Two tone – White top  / Grey lower

White wheels

Possibly driven by 2nd unknown suspect
