Celebrate Mesa.
A free party in the park will be held on Saturday, Oct. 17 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Red Mountain Soccer Complex, 905 N. Sun Valley Blvd.  

Families are encouraged to dress up, grab a special treat from the Parks & Recreation booth, go trick-o-treating at all the City department booths and check out the Police and Fire vehicles and the "haunted bus."  Free raffle prizes and give-a-ways will also be available.

Chef Molly Conway from Thirsty Lion Gastropub & Grill at Scottsdale Fashion Square makes their Black Cherry BBQ Pork Tenderloin from their Fall Menu.

Black Cherry BBQ Pork Tenderloin  

Pork Tenderloin, Prepped        7        wz        
Seasoning, Thirsty Lion        ½         t        
Butter, Roasted Garlic                    1        T        
Sauce, Black Cherry BBQ        3        fz        
Mashed Potatoes            9        wz        
Brussel Sprouts, Prepared        4        wz        
Onion, Green Curls            ¼         wz        

1.) Place tenderloin on broiler and baste continuously with roasted garlic butter to prevent drying.
2.) Once cooked baste with Black Cherry BBQ sauce and continue cooking to achieve internal temperature of 135°-140°.
3.) Heat 2 fz. of Black Cherry BBQ sauce in small sauté pan (or keep heated in well).
4.) Mound mashed potatoes in center of plate.  Place prepared Brussel sprouts behind mound of mashed potatoes.
5.) Cut finished pork into 1/2" slices.   Individually shingle slices against the mashed potatoes following the curve of the plate.
6.) Ladle heated Black Cherry BBQ sauce along lower portion of pork shingles across the plate.
7.) Garnish top of mashed potatoes with mounded green onion curls.
