New haunted attraction delivers thrills and chillsPosted: Updated:
A brand new haunted attraction in the Valley is scaring up some thrills and chills for visitors!
Come check out the first ever Scarizona Scaregrounds this Halloween season.
Located at 1901 N. Alma School Road in Mesa, Scarizona Scaregrounds will feature two haunted houses: Epic Fear and Slayer's Slaughter House. Epic Fear will play on every phobia you can imagine. Slayer's Slaughter House will be a window to all that is gory and twisted.
Scarizona Scaregrounds will also feature Arizona's first ever interactive paintball attraction, known as Operation Zombie Storm.16--passenger military trucks will take people on a treacherous route through a wave of zombies. The only weapons passengers will have to fend them off? A paintball gun loaded with about 200 rounds of ammunition.
Enjoy live music on the weekends and, for the adults, the Cemetery Beer Garden Boo-Z-Bar where all the “spirits” come alive! The beer garden will be open from 6 p.m. to midnight, Thursdays through Sundays. Each weekend a portion of the sales from alcohol will go to a different charity, including: ANPAD, Fighter Country and the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Scottsdale.
Tickets and discounts for the event will be available for purchase on the company's website at scarizona.com in mid-September. People will also be able to purchase discounted tickets at participating Taco Bells in the Valley.
Scarizona Scaregrounds will be open nightly October 2nd to November 7th. Entrance into both Haunted houses will be $20 or people can buy a package ticket for $35 that gets them into the haunted houses and Operation Zombie Storm.
