Rib Giveaway
To celebrate National BBQ Month (May), the Phoenix Shane's Rib Shack is hosting its annual Rib Giveaway, which takes place Saturday, May 16. The first 100 guests at Shane's Rib Shack on that day will receive a free half rack of slow-cooked baby back ribs, a 20-ounce beverage and special edition rib giveaway T-shirt in honor of the official month of BBQ.

Salvation Army KROC Center
The Salvation Army/National Salvation Army is celebrating their 150th anniversary. In honor of that, the KROC center in South Phoenix will have one-day sale on swim lessons -- $20 for 4 weeks (8 lessons total). Swim lessons for all ages are twice a week.

In addition, former Suns player and current assistant coach Mark West will host a free basketball camp this summer at the KROC center. The camp is for kids 10-12 and runs June 15-19, 8 a.m-2:15 p.m.

Modern Milk
Modern Milk is a new business in Scottsdale that specializes in helping new mothers learn how to breastfeed their babies and become comfortable with nursing. Stephanie Nguyen, a registered nurse and certified breastfeeding consultant, is the owner of Modern Milk, which offers breast feeding classes, private and in-store nursing consultations, mommy/baby yoga classes and helpful parenting classes.

Tibetan Relics
A free public exhibition of ancient and sacred relics from the historical Buddha and many other Eastern masters from Tibet, India and China will be on display at the Parsons Center for Health and Wellness Saturday through Sunday. These relics are priceless, beautiful and currently on the "Maitreya Loving Kindness Tour."

Summer Camp Aerialists
If your child or teen wants to learn aerial fabric and hoop skills, Scorpius Dance Theatre is offering an aerial camp for kids ages 8-12 and another camp for teens 13-17. Both camps go will Monday-Friday, June 8-19. The kids' camp will be 10 a.m. - noon; the teens' camp will be 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

The Summer Aerial Camps will be held at Scorpius Dance Theatre's aerial studios, located in the Metropolitan Arts Institute building at 1700 N. 7 Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85007.
