PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -

The video of the aftermath of the earthquake and its aftershocks in Nepal is disturbing to watch on television.

For Dr. Pravin Dugel, a retinal specialist based in Phoenix, it is more than sad to see. It is personal. Dugel was born in Nepal.

He moved when he was 4, but he still has family there and continues to visit every six months.

Since the devastating quake hit over the weekend, Dugel feels it's his duty to return to help those in need. In the coming days, he and a team of trauma surgeons will travel to Nepal and likely work and stay in the worst of conditions in order to help the victims of the quake.

Dugel and the team of specialists are donating their time and money to make this very important mission, but they're also trying to raise money for the victims there.

They have an account set up in the name of “Tilganga Earthquake Relief Support Funds, account 0101010007227, Global IME Bank Limited. The address of the bank is Kantipath, Kathmandu, Nepal. Swift code: GLBBNPKA
