Sausage Fest celebrates with Arizona's longest brat, largest pretzel
SCOTTSDALE, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -
Be sure to bring an appetite to the Sausage Fest at Brat Haus this Sunday, April 26 for a celebration of brats, pretzels and beer.
The festival will run from noon until 8 p.m. at the Scottsdale sausage spot, featuring tons of brats, the largest pretzel in the state and beer and sausage themed games all afternoon.
The Brat Haus is creating an 80-foot brat to celebrate the fest. Visitors can have a share of the treat for $1 per inch, and all of the proceeds will benefit the ALS Association of Arizona.
Guests can also try their hand at stein holding contest, check out sausage making demos, play beer garden games and join in on the pretzel toss. The festival will feature craft brews from SanTan Brewing, Mike Hess Brewing, Krombacher and New Belgium.
Local artists will also be at the event, including a glass blower, face painter, balloon artist and laser etching artist.
The festival is an all-ages event and kids ages 12 and under get in for free.
Admission to the festival is $8 at Brat Haus before the festival, and $10 the day of the event. Visitors can also purchase tickets online at www.brathausaz.com.
