PRESCOTT, AZ (AP) -
Two men have been sentenced to life in prison with no possibility of release for a 2011 killing in which the victim was beaten and stabbed and his body then burned.
The Daily Courier in Prescott reports that Judge Tina Ainley of Yavapai County Superior Court sentenced 23-year-old Robert A. Hinderliter and 26-year-old Juan C. Sanchez on Tuesday in the killing of Clifford Williamson.
Hinderliter and Sanchez pleaded guilty in December to murder and other charges to escape possible death sentences.
Williamson had testified against Hinderliter in a robbery case.
A third man, 30-year-old Joseph Parsons, agreed to testify against his co-defendants and was sentenced in 2013 to 6.5 years in prison.
A fourth person, 33-year-old Veronica Rutherford, also is charged in the case. She awaits trial.
