Remember a few years back when foreclosures were on the rise, and it seemed liked nobody really cared about their credit. The reality is, having good credit can actually save you money.

Were with Mike Sullivan with Take Charge America, a nonprofit credit counseling service, who breaks down what it means to have healthy credit and why it's important.

Here are few helpful tips:

1. A credit score under 680 will cost you money

2. Your credit report probably has an error on it

3. The credit score you see is not the same as the one lenders see

4. Having poor credit does not keep you from getting credit

5. Credit ratings go down faster than they go up

We are going to be doing a cashier and water test tomorrow for those that have already applied. We will continue accepting applications and teaching lifeguard certification classes until we have enough qualified candidates to fill all of the positions.
