Open casting call for new TV game showPosted: Updated:
Ever wanted to be on a TV game show? This weekend you have a chance to try out.
There will be a casting call for a new TV game show on Saturday. Contestants in groups of two to five are being interviewed for the show: "Who Knows Who."
Casting producers for the new TV game show announced Tempe as the first of several U.S. cities to host open casting calls for show contestants.
The casting is scheduled for this Saturday April 11, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., at Dave & Busters in the Tempe Marketplace.
"Who Knows Who" is described as a fun, family-friendly game show, combining elements of pop culture trivia and knowledge of facts, quirks and stories about contestant's teammates.
Casting producers say they're looking for males & females, 18 and over. They want to see charismatic participants who know a lot about pop culture and each other.
"Grab your closest friends, roommates, siblings, parents, co-workers, fiance, even your spunky grandma, and come on down to Dave & Buster's at Tempe Marketplace," said casting producer Matthew Stravitz. "We are looking for big personalities who will capture the hearts and minds of the American TV audience."
"With 'Who Knows Who,' expect the unexpected" said casting producer Sarah Smart. "You might be playing one game with your mom or best friend, and then squaring off in a pop culture trivia lightening round with one of your fave celebs."
If selected, potential contestants may have a chance to win prizes and cash, and even get a chance to meet a favorite celebrity.
"This show is bringing back family TV night across the nation," Smart said. "That one night of the week where the entire family gathers together to enjoy a show that will appeal to everyone. Your little ones will love it as much as your teens."
