Eat your water! Foods to help you stay hydrated

Our scorching Arizona summer is right around the corner. And when the weather heats up, it's more important than ever to stay hydrated.

Now, most of us know that we're supposed to have eight glasses of water per day. 60 percent of our body is made up of water, and staying hydrated is crucial for proper function.

But there are ways to get hydration from food, not just by drinking liquids.

Life coaches Mike and Summer Morenz say you can have your H2O and eat it, too! On Tuesday's Good Morning Arizona, they showed us some foods that will keep you hydrated, and some ways to incorporate them into your diet.

They say one key, especially for kids, is making the food fun. "We freeze grapes; we freeze watermelon," says Summer. "We make 'ants on a log.'"

Some of those foods that will help your hydration include:

-butter lettuce

-celery

-radishes

-tomatoes

-green peppers

-cauliflower

-watermelon

-milk & yogurt
