PRESCOTT, AZ (AP) -
A man who tried to flee a Prescott Denny's restaurant without paying now has assault charges on his plate.
The Daily Courier in Prescott said Sunday that 22-year-old Tyler A. Littlefield was booked into Camp Verde jail on two counts of aggravated assault and theft of service as well as three counts of resisting arrest.
According to a police report, Littlefield went to Denny's on March 30 and told a manager he would not pay for his food.
Littlefield allegedly tried to leave through a rear emergency exit door but couldn't get it open.
Police say Littlefield refused to contact anyone who could help him pay.
They say the suspect then ran while officers were handcuffing him but was tackled by police.
