TEMPE, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) - Police are trying to identify a suspect in an armed robbery at Tempe Town Lake last week.

Around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, a man and woman were pushing their baby in a stroller on the north side of the lake just west of the marina when they were approached by a man on a bicycle.

The man reportedly displayed a knife, and demanded jewelry and other valuables.

He fled eastbound on a BMX-style bicycle, possibly gray in color.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic man between 30 and 49 years old. He appeared to be about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and 150 to 170 pounds. He has a skinny build, a shaved or bald head, and a "chubby" face with pock marks.

He was last seen wearing a dark green T-shirt and dark shorts or pants, and he was carrying a dark-colored backpack. He appeared "very dirty."
