Jersey Mike's Day of Giving raises funds for Phoenix Children's Hospital

March is Jersey Mike's Subs' "Month of Giving," and they are celebrating big today with their fifth annual "Day of Giving" event.

Participating Jersey Mike's locations will donate 100 percent of their proceeds today to donation partner Phoenix Children's Hospital. All of the funds raised will support the hospital's Hope Fund, which is used in purchasing essential hospital equipment, conducting research and providing charitable care for patients at the hospital.

"They do something amazing for the livelihood and the well-being of Phoenix," Jersey Mike's general manager Jeff Tinnean said. "You hear those stories and they get you every time. They swell you up, they fill you with good emotion. That's something that we like to give back to, that's something that helps our community."

Last year's Month of Giving raised $2.1 million for 100 different charities across the nation. Jersey Mike's location in Arizona raised over $57,000 last year for the Phoenix Children's Hospital.

All month long customers have had the opportunity to donate to the children's hospital inside any Valley Jersey Mike's locations.
