Spring means it's wedding season! And this year some new trends are emerging for brides and grooms.
Deb Beggs from Classic Party Rentals filled us in on three top trends in weddings for spring 2015.
She says theme weddings are a popular request. "It's becoming your fantasy, your dream, not the traditional wedding each time," says Beggs.
1) Romantic garden inspired weddings- Whether using an outdoor venue or recreating the look indoors, this theme draws on nature and will give an enchanting yet effortless feel.
Copper and rose gold are the new metallics. Try working them into some form of the setting whether silverware, plates or chargers.
The rustic trend is here to stay. Farm tables give a down-home look and can work with even the most elegant of weddings.
-Line the center of the table with greenery or foliage. DIY trick for the table: wrap lavender or rosemary around candles for a captivating aroma!
-Color scheme- bursts of color pair well with more muted tones. Strawberry, aquamarine, tangerine, marsala and custard can accent whites and creme.
Don't let weather or circumstances prevent an outdoor wedding; the look can be created indoors or with tenting.
Creative lighting helps to set the mood and awe guests. Something as simple as market lighting works, as well as something extravagant like chandeliers. DIY trick: Hang lanterns from copper wires to suspend light through the wedding.
2) Wild West weddings- A slight twist on the rustic trend- this theme is a wedding that is bound to be fun!
-Tables and chairs
Natural wood pieces are a must. Long farm tables can be paired with both wooden benches and chairs. Mix and match.
Allow guests to kick up their feet with lounge furniture around the event. DIY trick: For those with a lower budget, make your own furniture of out of hay bales!
Mason jars are out, Moscow mule mugs are in! Accent other items on the table with copper to bring in more metallics to the table.
Keep it simple with a touch of rustic. Try using handmade looking flatware with simple white plates and napkins. Add a touch of glamour by using a metallic charger. DIY trick: Wrap napkins with a leather strap in place of a napkin holder. For an even more special touch, engrave your guests name to double as a place-holder.
Use shabby chic furniture instead of tables to display wedding photos, seating assignment or decor items. DIY trick: Wooden crates can be used to create varying height levels for decor. Try personalizing them with your names and the special date!
3) Groom's Lounge- All eyes tend to be on the bride, but show your man how much you love him by creating a space reflecting his personality and the activities you enjoy doing together!
Leather is an ever-popular choice, both elegant and sleek this style of lounge furniture will keep guests comfortable.
-Groom's VIP Bar
Make it classic with a black wood bar especially for your man's favorite drink.
