Chandler festival celebrates BBQ, beer and good times

The 2015 Great American Barbeque and Beer Festival is hitting Chandler on March 21 from noon until 10 p.m.

One of the largest barbeque events in that state, the festival will pack Chandler streets with various BBQ stands, kettle corn, fry bread, funnel cakes and plenty of brews. There will also be entertainment, live music, a March Madness lounge, a kid's play land and eating competitions.

General admission tickets are available online for $12 each at and tickets will be $15 each at the gate day of. Food and beverages are sold separately. Children 12 years of age and younger are admitted for free.

Tickets can be purchase din advance from Bashas' for $10.

The festival will span the entire AJ Chandler Park East and West as well as connecting Arizona Ave., which will be closed from Buffalo St. to Boston St. in downtown Chandler.

A portion of the event proceeds will benefit the Boot Campaign, a 501(c)(3) dedicated to providing assistance to wounded military and their families with job placement and securing mortgage free homes, post-traumatic stress disorder counseling, adaptive clothing and much more.
