The Phoenix Fire Department is investigating a crash involving a DPS officer.
Phoenix Fire units received an emergency call just before 8 p.m. about a motor vehicle collision involving an officer.
The accident happened near 27th Avenue and Camelback. That intersection is now shut down.
An SUV apparently hit a Department of Public Safety motor officer on his motorcycle.
The officer is in stable condition, but was said to be feeling dizzy and having pain in his arm. The officer was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
