Hot new makeup looks for spring from Bobbi BrownPosted: Updated:
Warmer weather is headed our way, so it's time to re-think not just our wardrobe, but our makeup as well.
Bobbi Brown's director of artistry, Rogelio Reyna, visited us here at 3TV Tuesday to give us some tips on must-have spring make-up looks.
He says spring is the perfect time to switch up your beauty routine and try out some chic, new beauty looks. Two looks in particular that are great for are healthy, flushed, glowing cheeks, and standout metallic eyes.
These two looks were also popular during spring/summer 2015 New York Fashion week, and are easy to recreate at home, using new and existing products from Bobbi Brown. New for spring, the Hot Collection was created in collaboration with the company's celebrity “face,” Kate Upton.
The collection pairs subtle nudes with pops of head-turning color inspired by Kate's Florida home state. Think warm nudes of the beachfront, and the bright lights of Miami.
Beauty look 1
Hot Cheek Palettes ($45)
Bobbi believes that nothing makes a woman look prettier than a pop of blush. Perfect for spring, a flush of color on the cheeks is the easiest way to get a fresh, healthy glow in an instant.
Variations of nude makeup with a pink pastel cheek was popular at numerous shows during spring/summer 2015 fashion week , and this youthful glow can be recreated easily with new Hot Collection Cheek Palettes. Bobbi believes every woman should have more than one blush - a neutral shade for a natural flush and a brighter shade for a pop of color that lifts and brightens.
Beauty Look 2
Use Long-Wear Cream Shadows (Shadows $26 / Sticks $29). Next, a perfect way to add drama to your spring beauty look and really make your eyes pop is with a shimmery metallic eye that can easily transition from day to night.
The Bobbi Brown folks saw lots of subtle and bold golden eyes, graphic lines and smoky lids on the runways, and the look is rather simple to do at-home. To take this look from the runway to ever yd day, with a cream shadow brush, layer Long-Wear Copper Cream Shadow (or Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Sunlight Gold) all over the lower lid, building the density of the color from the lash-line to the crease.
Next, define eyes and apply black gel liner with an ultra-fine eyeliner brush from the outer corner all the way across the upper and lower lash lines.
