A Valley teen crashed his SUV through a wall and into a backyard pool Sunday evening. Neighbors claim the teen was texting behind the wheel.
It happened in a neighborhood near Tatum and Jomax.
“We heard what sounded like bumper car derby: crash ‘em. smash ‘em, straight through that wall,” said neighbor Corey Donaldson. “If that pool hadn't been there, the lady inside probably would have gotten taken out because it would have gone right through the house.”
Neighbors helped pull the teen from the pool. He was not hurt. It's not clear whether he will face charges.
A crane had to be called in to lift the car out of the pool.
